SURREY
Last week saw the release of next seasons cricket fixtures. Surrey promoted into Dvision one will start their Championship campaign of against Sussex at the Kia Oval on Thursday 5th April. There is plenty of championship cricket at the Kia Oval in the first few weeks of the season, as Surrey will face Worcestershire and Durham before the end of the month, as well as a short trip to Lords to face the other promoted side from last season Middlesex.
The popular Guildford festival will see Surrey face Lancashire in a championship fixture starting on the 11th July. On the Sunday 15th Nottinghamshire will visit Guildford to play a CB40 match.
Surrey will play Sussex at the picturesq Horsham ground in a four day championship match commencing Wednesday 6th June.
The Kia Oval will host all five of Surrey’s T20 home matches, where they will face Essex, Hampshire, Sussex, Kent and Middlesex.

Surrey have signed Indian left arm spinner Murali Kartik on a one year deal for the 2012 season.
Kartik has previously played for Lancashire, Middlesex and Somerset in English domestic cricket taking 319 wickets.
Tom Maynard has signed a one year extension to his contract, which will keep him at the club until the end of the 2014 season.

Both Tom Lancefield and Tom Jewell have signed new one year deals with the club until the end of the 2012 season.

MIDDLESEX
Middlesex will start life back in Division 1 of the championship against Somerset at Taunton on Thursday 5th April. Seven days later they will play their first home championship match of the season against Surrey at Lord’s. Durham will be the visitors to Lord’s on Thursday 19th April for a 4 day championship match.
Middlesex will start their t20 campaign against Surrey at Lord’s on the 14th June with a 6.15 start.The home county will also play hosts to Sussex and Essex in the same competiton at Lord’s. The two remaining home t20 matches will be at Richmond on the 27th June against Hampshire and Kent on the 8th July at Uxbridge.
Uxbridge will also host a 4 day championship match against Nottinghamshire commencing on the 11th July, a CB40 match on the 15th July against Leicestershire and a 4 day championship match against Warwickshire starting on the 1st August , along with a CB40 match on Sunday 5th August when Worcestershire will be the visitors.
The touring West Indians will also be playing Middlesex in a 50 over match at Lord’s on the 13th June.
MIDDLESEX NEWS
